Work With Me: Somatic Trauma Therapy & Relational Coaching
Private sessions tailored to your unique nervous system, trauma, story, and pace — honoring your rhythm, attuning to your needs, boundaries and complexity.
Feel More Like Yourself Again.
Through somatic and embodiment-based practices, I support humans in softening relational difficulties, easing the weight of constant over-adapting, releasing chronic tension, and finding their way back to a felt sense of connection, aliveness and presence after emotional trauma.
This Is For You, If You've Ever Felt:
"Trauma is about loss of connection to ourselves, to our bodies, to our families, to others, and to the world around us."
-Peter Levine
This quote has stayed with me for some time. The quiet ache of being out of touch with oneself has too often been accepted as normal in the western world. And yet, there are few pains more intense than not feeling who you are, not sensing what you truly want, not knowing where you fit or belong. Especially for those whose inner storms run deep and whose minds never seem to quiet, the experience of genuine connection can be the missing key.
My work today is about gently guiding people back to their truest, most alive selves—not through self-optimization or endless analysis, but by attuning to the authentic language of the subconscious as it resides in the body and nervous system, honoring and witnessing each part, and allowing integration to unfold naturally.
All of you makes sense. All of you is welcome here.
Your Embodiment Journey
ReCONNECT
We start with safety.
Beginning with small yet powerful steps that help your body naturally orient towards safety again. —through grounding, resourcing and shifting.
We don’t go deep until your nervous system says: it’s ready.
ReLEARN
We build awareness.
Slowing down, listen to the subtle language and stories of your body, and begin to notice subtle patterns with curiosity.
Which underlying parts, qualities, needs and protections wants to be witnessed and expressed?
Re(l)EASE
We allow autonomic movement and change.
Exploring the deeper emotional layers, like patterns of shame, people-pleasing, fear of closeness or self-doubt.
You’ll learn new ways to stay present with what is hard — without being consumed by it.
ReALIGN
We integrate these shifts to ripple into your daily life — rebuilding self-trust, authentic connection, and embodied confidence. Somatic sessions allow for a felt change.
Healing Through the Body: The Essence of Somatic Trauma Work
"Somatics" & "Embodiment" aren't a trend — but rather foundational for deep, felt transformation.
When we’ve experienced continuous stress or trauma, our nervous system reacts strongly. The body accumulates and locks in survival energy. Without safety and thus without regulation capacity, that energy stays frozen. Over time, it can cause all kinds of physical and mental symptoms, like chronic tension, emotional reactivity, overwhelm or numbness, exhaustion, brain fog, gut & skin issues, difficulty falling asleep, anxiety and others.
That’s why lasting change needs to involve the body.
Only when we can feel ourselves again — beyond understanding the why — can we begin to process, release, and integrate.
In somatic work, you learn how to listen inward.
To track sensation.
To move at your own rhythm.
And slowly, your nervous system begins to trust
and naturally regulate again.

What to Expect When Working With Somatics
Attachment & Somatic Integration
We explore how relational wounding and survival strategies live in your body today and begin gentle rewiring through attuned practices.
- Safety Grows Over Time
Insight is the first step. To go deeper, experienced transformation requires a consistent, regulated container where the body learns to trust. - Tailored, Somatic Sessions
We move beyond talk: slowing into sensation, regulating the system, and weaving in practices that support somatic resilience. - Real-Life Wisdom
You’ll carry home micro-practices: early regulation signals, somatic cues, and ways to reclaim agency — in everyday life. - A Warm, Attuned Container
I bring curiosity, care, and clarity. Together, we follow what your system is ready for, honoring pace, boundaries, and inner rhythm.
My Somatic Relational Approach
Sessions are guided by presence, attunement, and trust in your body’s natural intelligence. I blend:
The Somatic Process - A Living Spiral
I experience that the first meaningful shifts often begin to unfold within a 2–4 month container. At the same time, therapy/ coaching is an individual and non-linear process — each journey follows its own rhythm, guided by what you bring into the space. The outline below is meant as an orientation, offering a sense of the flow and what may become possible along the way.
Months 1–2: Inner Ground • Safety • Resources
We begin by gently exploring your body’s deeper signals — the needs, boundaries, and rhythms that often live beneath words. Together, we reconnect you with your inner and outer resources: the qualities, relationships, and practices that help you feel supported, rooted, and strong from within.
In essence, this phase is about remembering your inner source of stability — the part of you that can hold steady even when life feels uncertain.
You'll learn to:
- Build embodied awareness and strengthen your inner observer
- Reconnect with what you truly want and need
- Feel safer in moments of aloneness, conflict, or intensity
Before we move into deeper layers, this phase helps your body establish a sense of safety and grounding — the soil in which real transformation can grow.
Months 2–3: Relationships • Childhood • Emotions
Once your system trusts safety more, we begin exploring the deeper patterns that shape your relationships –those with others and with yourself.
These patterns often have roots in early experiences where your needs for love, safety, or understanding weren’t fully met.
Here, we explore new ways for what still lives beneath the surface — the traces of fear, shame, or disconnection that can show up today as emotional flashbacks, self-doubt, numbness, or a sense of not quite belonging.
Together, we will:
- Reclaim the parts of you that learned to hide or disconnect
- Work gently with relational triggers through somatic awareness
- Allow deeper emotions to unfold and integrate, without overwhelm
This phase isn’t about re-living trauma. It’s about meeting what’s been too much, too fast, or too alone — with enough safety, containment and compassion for real change to happen.
Months 3–4: Identity • Purpose • Core Self Integration
With more capacity and resilience, we open the space for expansion: stepping more and more into deeper layers of who you are and what you long to create.
Together we will:
- Gently soften shame and guilt, allowing long-suppressed emotions to integrate
- Unwind deep survival beliefs that kept you small and stuck
- Explore how you want to show up in your relationships, work, and everyday life — rooted in authenticity rather than adaptation
What can unfold: a sense of grounded confidence, emotional depth, and quiet radiance.
You may find yourself choosing from curiosity instead of fear, compassion instead of pressure, presence instead of performance.
The
journey towards wholeness and growth is like an
ongoing spiral where safety, connection
and identity continuously shape one another.
When your body feels met, through attuned awareness, presence and co-regulation, it begins to soften disconnection on all levels: physical, emotional, mental, and energetical. From here, space naturally opens for new ways of relating, feeling, and being — a return to the self that was never lost, only protected.
FAQs
Frequently asked questions:
Do I need previous experience with embodiment, bodywork or other therapy?
Not at all. This work meets you exactly where you are. Whether you’re completely new to inner work or have tried other body-based or cognitive approaches, we’ll go at a pace that feels right for your system.
How do I know if we are the right fit?
Finding the right therapist is essential. That’s why I offer a free 20-minute consultation — a chance for you to ask questions, get a feel for how I work, and see whether it feels right for you. Therapy is most effective when there’s trust and resonance, so you’re always free to decide if you’d like to continue or not. Should we find it’s not the best match, I’m happy to refer you to other professionals.
How long does therapy/ coaching take?
The length of therapy/ coaching varies for everyone. You decide how long you’d like to work together, depending on your goals and what feels right for you. Somatic work is not a quick fix — it’s a gradual process that unfolds over time. Consistency allows your nervous system to build safety and integration, creating the foundation for lasting change. However, every session can offer meaningful relief, clarity and insights, often with a subtle shift already beginning.
What if I struggle to feel anything in my body?
That’s more common than you might think — especially if you’ve lived in chronic stress, trauma, or disconnection. Our work will gently support your awareness and capacity to grow over time. There’s no pressure or expectation.
Can somatics & embodiment help with anxiety or overwhelm?
Yes. Many of these symptoms are signals from a dysregulated nervous system. Somatic work helps you build a deeper relationship with your body’s responses — so you can respond rather than react, and find more internal space and calm.
Can we do this work online?
Yes! Embodiment and somatic therapy can work very well online. With clear presence, guidance, and pacing, your system can feel supported — wherever you are.
Can I cancel a scheduled session?
Yes, sessions can be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance at no cost. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged the full session fee, except in emergencies.
Does my insurance cover therapy?
At this time, I’m not affiliated with any dutch insurance providers.
Private payment comes with its own advantages: you can start right away, no diagnosis or doctor’s referral is needed, and your process remains confidential. Most importantly, our work together follows your needs — not a predefined treatment plan.
